Grrr-ROOWWWWRR!!!* Setup
For those who are curious, here is the Grrr-ROOWWWWRR!!!* setup shot.
With a blue backdrop for sky and a polo-style shirt stretched across posterboard for sand, I attempted to create a scene on the desert planet of Tatooine. Raisin boxes lift up the desert floor so that it is level. A flashlight shines the "sun" onto the backdrop.
Chewbacca is suspended from a ruler balanced on some small cups. His face is very near the camera lens. A mirror reflects light in his face, and my son held a small push light above the Wookiee as well.
As usual, I have a large circular diffuser (not shown) positioned above the entire scene to soften the room’s ambient light.
