Super Ma Setup
This is the setup photo for Super Ma.
The backdrop is made of a sheet of scrapbooking paper held in place by a clipboard. Backlighting is provided by a single incandescent flashlight aimed at the center of the sunburst pattern.
Above the scene a large circular diffuser (not shown) softens the ambient light in the room.
A simple magnifying lens (not a macro lens) is used to enhance the close-up.
I often use iPhoto to adjust levels, tweak colors, crop, etc. But his is one of the few times that I used the "Antique" effect to give the palette an old-fashioned look.
