Berry Hard Work Setup (8/11)

Berry Hard Work Setup (8/11)

Posted to Flickr on 23 April 2013. Part of the Setup series.

This is the eighth part of a series describing the setup of the photo Berry Hard Work.

The Lighting

For many of my tabletop shoots, I use small LEDs, traditional flashlights, and other commonplace (and cheap) light sources. However, for this photo, no additional light was needed beyond the ambient lighting in my kitchen.

The large circular diffusor, a Christmas gift from my brother, provides soft light to the scene. A black cloth draped along the back of the diffuser darkens the back of the scene a bit.

Note that the table lamp functions only to hold up the front end of the diffuser and does not provide any light to the scene. In fact, the lamp’s bulb has been removed.
