Bugs Bunny vs. Gremlin Setup
The setup for Bugs Bunny vs. Gremlin is typical of the faux diptychs I sometimes create. The characters are standing on scrapbooking sheets. Bugs’ sheet has an additional semitransparent overlay, which was spotted by my son at the scrapbooking store and accounts for the slight reflection in the final photo. Grey and green posterboards stand behind the figures, and the two cereal boxes help provide shadows on either side. A large circular diffuser is positioned above the figures, and placed on top of it are cheap, battery-operated light shining downwards. The room’s normal lighting was dimmed for this shot.

This photo was taken in my kitchen using some pretty simple Gear. You might be surprised to discover how low-tech my "photography studio" really is.
