Spider-Man vs. Tick Setup

Spider-Man vs. Tick Setup

Posted to Flickr on 09 December 2010. Part of the Setup series.

This is the setup photo for Spider-Man vs. Tick.

The backdrop behind Spider-Man is a sheet of scrapbooking paper. A glittery sheet of black scrapbooking paper on the "floor" is meant to suggest pavement. The side wall is a dollhouse brick pattern. The wall-crawler is attached to the wall with double-stick tape. The tape does not adhere well due to the weight of the figure, and Spidey fell down many, many times during this shoot.

The Tick stands on a sheet of light textured scrapbooking paper that is curved up behind him and is attached to a box and to the "floor" with sticky notes.

Above the scene a large circular diffuser softens the ambient light in the room. A dark strip of fabric is positioned above the backdrop to darken it a bit.
