Cheetah vs. Catwoman Setup

Cheetah vs. Catwoman Setup

Posted to Flickr on 14 August 2010. Part of the Setup series.

This is the setup photo for Cheetah vs. Catwoman. This has become a fairly standard setup for my "faux diptych" shots.

The backdrop for these figures is two pieces of scrapbooking paper, the one on the left showing an African theme and the one on the right showing bricks. They are both attached to foamboard with sticky notes.

The figures are standing on two more pieces of scrapbooking paper, a cheetah print on the left and a dark, mostly solid design on the right.

Each figure is lit by a push-light, one on each side of the camera.

A large circular diffuser is positioned above the entire scene (not shown).

Setup

This photo was taken in my kitchen using some pretty simple Gear. You might be surprised to discover how low-tech my "photography studio" really is.
