Origin

I have Easter eggs. I have an Alien action figure. This photo practically took itself.

Setup

The basket is sitting on an elevated black shelf. Inside the basket are positioned several colorful eggs, including the pink one holding the alien. I used an empty toilet paper roll to keep the pink egg from sinking into the grass.

Behind the scene is a sky backdrop made from cloud wrapping paper.

Softening the ambient light in the room is a large circular diffuser, positioned above the scene.

Alternate

I initially envisioned the alien far away and centered in the frame, but ultimately I decided closer and off-center was better.
