1974 Three Little Soldiers

1974 Three Little Soldiers

Posted to Flickr on 17 July 2009. Part of the JD's House of Miscellany series. Included in my Portfolio.

These poor, banged up little soldiers have accompanied me from place to place through thick and thin since I was a young boy. Although they resemble wooden soldiers, the dedicated squad is 100% plastic. They are unevenly hand-painted and stand three inches tall.

Imprinted under each of their bases is the following: "Wilton 43 Hong Kong W709."

Photo shot for the Flickr group 7 Days of Shooting. The Creative Tabletop Photography group featured this photo on their front page.

Photo seen in Flickr Explore.

This is one of many curious items collected in JD’s House of Miscellany.

Elsewhere

These soldiers have been spotted marching elsewhere:

Setup

This photo was taken in my kitchen using some pretty simple Gear. You might be surprised to discover how low-tech my "photography studio" really is.
