Origin

My daughter requested this photo to use as wallpaper on her phone. The figure belongs to her.

Setup

Derpy is standing on a clear sheet of acrylic laid across an elevated black shelf. The backdrop is a sheet of black glitter scrapbooking paper.

A colored LED provides the orange backlighting. It is held in place by a potato chip package.

A large circular diffuser (not shown) is above the scene, softening the ambient light in the room.

Alternates

My daughter and I experimented with different shades of red, orange, brown, yellow, etc. before we found the one we liked.
