1977 Ring of Evil
I no longer remember how I acquired this ring. I do know that throughout the time I wore it as a kid the ring repeatedly brought me bad luck. The last straw was cracking my arm in a bicycle accident while wearing it; after that I decided to fashion a small ring prison and banish it forever, never to be worn again. I occasionally stumble across it and debate about tempting fate … but I never do.
Yes, I know it’s completely silly. I’m not normally a superstitious person at all. On the other hand, life’s too short! ____
