This Is The Construct
In the film The Matrix Morpheus describes “the construct,” an empty white environment into which his crew can load whatever reality they need.
In the latter part of 2013 my family moved into a new home, and my wife and children were gracious enough to allow me to claim one of the rooms for my photography. And then for Christmas my wife gave me new photography gear: a tabletop background support stand and a roll of bright white backdrop paper.
And so in a way I was given my own version of “the construct,” a dedicated place in my home for creating other realities and sharing them with you. I’m grateful to my family for this gift.
