Travelling Pants

Travelling Pants

Posted to Flickr on 06 July 2010.

This was an experiment in light and abstraction.

You are looking top-down through one leg of my daughter’s stripey pants. I placed a desk lamp at the bottom of the pants pointed back up at the camera.

The pants are black with colorful thin stripes of red, cyan, and blue. When viewed from this perspective, the stripes become abstracted into rings forming what to me looks like a magical tunnel that a fantasy adventurer might use to travel from one place to another.
